On February 17, the unveiling ceremony of the MoreReal Lab 5G Innovation and Cultural Technology Experimental Base was held in the Tainan Cultural and Creative Park, with a number of young talents participating in it. This talent cultivation activity further realized Mayor Wei-zhe Huang’s expectations for MoreReal Lab 5G to "use technology to transform the ancient city." Prof. Rui-shing Chang, who hosted this project, said that since 5G has been widely used, the works shown in this exhibition can be used in film and television, content production, game production; they can even integrate technology into art performances and visual art creations. Tainan is a city rich in culture and history, and in response to "Tainan 400," STUST has to stand firmly on the cornerstone of the academic palace, leading universities and colleges in Tainan to participate in the event. This event was therefore very meaningful.

This activity adopted a two-phrase review. All public and private colleges and universities in Tainan area could register to participate in a team of 2-5 students from the same school or across schools and invite a teacher to serve as an instructor. The project theme was based on the concept of "digital content that has Tainan's local cultural characteristics and can be combined with and take advantage of the characteristics of 5G technology," such as historical reenactments, folk performances, festival etiquette, food culture, or other digital content that can show the cultural connotation of Tainan. After being selected by the review committee, each winning team received a bonus of NT$40,000.

Program Host Prof. Rui-shing Chang said that 5G is the future trend. STUST is committed to cultivating professional talents and creating a high-quality learning environment. It integrates government policies to introduce 5G technology and the integrated application of emerging technologies, as it has seamlessly integrated academic studies with industries, nurturing the quenching field of cultural technology industry. This project focuses on cultivating young students in Tainan area and creating opportunities for more business owners to integrate technology and culture. Teachers and students from colleges and universities in Tainan area were welcome to participate in the project.
