In the trend of Taiwan's birth rate decline, increasing attention has been given to the care of pregnant women and the health of the fetus during pregnancy. In the Philippines, there is no such trouble, but the care of pregnant women is much less than that in Taiwan. For remote areas where there have been inadequate medical resources, maternity can only be carried out in limited medical institutions. In addition to suffering from pregnancy fatigue, pregnant women could simply give up the examination, and this often brings great threat to fetus health and produces a lot of variables to pregnant women. Dr. Aaron Raymond See is a native of Filipino Chinese. Ten years ago, he was a student in the Department of Electronic engineering at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He is currently an assistant professor here. Medical resources in the Philippines are not enough, so this year Prof. See and his fellow professor Yi Chun Du applied for a bilateral agreement on the international cooperation program, which is entitled "Long-Range Pregnant Women, Physical Monitoring and Care System Research and Development." The program will work with De La Salle University to develop a wearable maternal physiological monitoring device, a remote inquiry and ultrasound robot platform, to achieve remote maternity screening function. It will also be carried out in the Philippines for field testing, hoping to reduce the risk of pregnant women and fetuses in the Philippines.
