In order to reduce the gap between schoolwork and employment, the Ministry of Labor has been promoting the "College Employment Subsidy Program," trying to introduce teachers from industries into the academic sphere and arranging students to experience workplace environment. Through the cooperation between colleges and industries, it is hoped that students can make improvement by increasing their practical experience and professional knowledge, and benefit from the seamless convergence between their schoolwork and employment. At the same time, to encourage colleges and universities to actively promote the program, the Ministry of Labor has done a lot in organizing contests related to evaluation on excellent college employment program. It was really not easy that "Children's Creative Teaching Professional Training and Employment Program" of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology was certified as one of the most excellent programs of humanities and cultural creative class in 2017 by the Ministry of Labor.

Present Tai Chien of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology said that in order to promote youth employment, the government has been greatly committed to youth training and employment services. STUST also strongly supports　the program and has been actively seeking cooperation with business partners and running programs in line with the industrial economy and employment. Through the seamless convergence between academia and industry, all the programs and internship are created for the students to increase their competence in curriculum planning and career experience. For the industry, the vitality of young generations will be the momentum for the sustainable development of our country. The fact that STUST was awarded has proved to be the recognition of the Ministry of Labor on STUST’s outstanding performance. The award should be given higher acclaim, since it is the only award-winning program in the category of the humanities and cultural creativity in South Taiwan.

The Department of Child Care, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, has been working for 5 years on the "Children's Creative Teaching Professional Training and Employment Program." The program is organized by Prof. Jia-Bin Gao, Prof. Shin-Yi Wei, and Prof. Mei-Fang Zhuo, who has been working together to plan the direction of teaching and provide students with rich learning resources. The program is based on games, picture books, and music. In the curriculum arrangement, the program has integrated a lot of well-known children education institutions throughout the country, including 3C3Q Creative Enterprise, Knight’s Castle International Business Co. Ltd., Hess International Education Group, New Visions　New Voices Theatre Company, Parenting World Co. Ltd, and Penguin Entertainment Arts Enterprise, where professional staffers are invited as lecturers. For the students’ learning of employment experience and teachers’ need of advice, they have given STUST a considerable help, not only their professional knowledge and ethics but also access to industry for students and teachers. Students can become familiar with the culture and needs of the enterprise. In addition, STUST is also one of the direct beneficiaries of this program. Thanks to the program, the invited business executives also have the opportunity to come to STUST to understand the quality of students and the cooperation mechanism. This has brought a substantial increase in the school’s visibility and industry recognition.
