Acting President Deng-Maw Lu said that STUST has been working long-term on a combination of various activities in charity at every corner of the society, bringing students to volunteer community service that takes care of elders. This time STUST worked together with Yan-Ming Tsai Charity Foundation in organizing the "Charity Youngsters Sending Love to the Countryside" event, which not only benefited disadvantaged students but also helped young students walk into the community to find the needy families and the elderly living alone. These young students were concerned about the daily lives of the elders, trying to bring everyone's love into action. The participating students were both grateful and had the spirit of filial piety and caring for the disadvantaged. They would be able to give back to the community in the future. In addition, community elders are encouraged to learn in spite of their old ages, so as to make good use of time at Southern Taiwan Science and Technology University when they come to the Seniors Classes and Longevity Society there to promote their physical, mental, and spiritual health.

In order to express his concern for the Taiwanese society, starting from the 2015, young college students in many high-quality public and private universities have been encouraged and invited to work on the campaign of charity for young people to send their love to the countryside. The campaign is for young people to discover the disadvantaged families in their communities and help raise the awareness of love for families in need. It helps young generations understand the reality of the society and encourages them to put more positive energy to helping others. The Foundation looks forward to sending warmth and love to every corner of Taiwan, discovering the disadvantaged groups in the community and providing them with appropriate assistance. It is also hoped that disadvantaged families can feel the warmth and positive energy of the society. Deputy CEO Chao also showed his gratitude to STUST for its long-term implementation of public welfare and charity activities. He believed that the future would see the Foundation and STUST continue to work together to care for the community and bring love to each and every corner.
