International students from 13 countries to form a small global village: Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology organized a freshman training for international students in the 103th academic year 
In September, Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) organized a freshman training for international students in the 103th academic year. About 80 students came from 13 countries--the United States, Japan, the Czech Republic, Denmark, India, Guatemala, St. Kitts, Jordan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Croatia—to STUST to attend graduate programs. This semester 3 students received scholarship by Taiwan government and 4 received the DIKTI scholarship by Indonesian government. For the first time students came from Denmark, St. Kitts and Jordan to STUST. Added by these freshmen this year, the international students currently enrolled in the STUST are more than 250. With all these international students from more than 30 countries, STUST has become a small global village.
