STUST Whale Multimedia Team won the Best Visual Image Award in Big Yuanzi Love & Share Creative Video Competition

Shin-hwei Lee from the Graduate Institute of Multimedia and Entertainment Sciences, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, won the Best Visual Image Award in the 2014 “Love & Share Creative Video Competition” held by Big Yuanzi Development Corporation. Lee’s work “Love” was certainly the best of the 119 works in the competition. Lee became greatly interested in making video since his college years and has actively involved himself in image/video creation ever since, thereby developing great aesthetic qualities for himself, according to Lee’s advisor Chih-Cheng Sun. His work “Love” tells a story about a girl who became impaired in hearing when she met an accident in her childhood. Despite her hearing loss, her life was greatly exciting and wonderful, not a bit less colorful than anyone else’s. From her, the boy who met her in Big Yuanzi’s Beverage Shop learned a lot about love and sharing. A story about the cubs is also told in his work, in the form of animation, to suggest the process through which the boy came to learn what love is all about.
