Visiting Scholar Guo-Feng Yeh showed his paintings in his “Comprehensions from Mountains and Seas” Exhibition in Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology

Guo-Feng Yeh, a visiting scholar, Zhejiang Vocational School of Commerce and Dean of its Art and Design school, holds an exhibition for more than 80 pieces of paintings he finished during his stay in Taiwan, where he has visited a lot of landscapes. The exhibition and other art activities are held to promote cross-strait exchanges, The collection of abstract painting is shown in the art center of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology from January 6 to 16.

The exhibition is named "Comprehensions from Mountains and Seas," derived from the Buddhists’ idea that the mind of an ordinary person won’t be enlightened unless he/she can comprehend the mind of Buddha.

As Deputy President Lu pointed out in the opening, Dean Yeh is also a famous painter in Zhejiang, whose works have been repeatedly selected by China Art Festival Exhibition and shown in an exhibition tour in Mainland China. This is the first time for a guest from sister school to hold a personal exhibition in STUST ever since the university was founded. Certainly, it will be a great milestone in the history of cross-strait exchanges.
