TACK’s "Chusan Ichiro," which was originally a work among all the 10th-year graduation projects of the Department of Information and Communication, has recently won the Best Feature Award in the 11th CCU Department of Communication Film & News Festival best feature film award. Winning the award again, their strength was greatly affirmed. As Director Shi-an Chen said, "Chusan Ichiro" began with bamboo as the focus of their thinking to develop the theme, thanks to the image of bamboo that Ang Lee used in his movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." Later, the team made further research and found that the Chusan region has been caught in a conflict between the traditional bamboo farmers emerging tea merchants. Mostly young people there do not want to stay home, which has caused an aging population. Therefore, Director Chen tries in his film to put together all the problems—the disintegration of industrial structure, the emigration of younger generations, and the problem of aging population—in the hope that more and more people can pay attention to the various issues lying under the transformation of Taiwan's agricultural development.
