Career opportunities sail and we fly young: Southern Taiwan University of Science
and Technology and the Southwest Branch of Department of Labor Workforce Development Agency worked together in the campus recruiting activity.

Under the direction of the Ministry of Education, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and the Southwest Branch of Department of Labor Workforce Development Agency worked together in the campus recruiting activity called “career opportunities sail and we fly young” on March 31. The activity attracted 71 vendors providing 3,200 job openings, with 32 listed companies and 80% of the companies in Southwest Taiwan ranked among the top 500 companies in the country. The list included a number of top companies in the service sector, such as the Grand Hi Lai Hotel, the McDonald's, Mos Burger, President Chain Store, National Electronic TSMC 21st century, RT, Braille and many other companies. There were also International corporations in the science and technology industry, including Innolux, South Mao, Motech, TYC, etc. Companies in traditional industries—Hodoka Technology, Santoword Technology, ALEX, and Hongyuan—also came for a hunt of talent. The attendance was greater than 2,000 people, with 1,362 copies of curriculum vitae delivered, 776 people preliminary interviewed, and the number of young job seekers found to be over 1,000.

The activity started when President Tai and Director Shi jointly pushed a mock aircraft control bar that symbolized the setting to sail of the career opportunities. All other guests held signs on which words of blessing were written: "create the future, "" job well, "" successful matchmaking," etc. All the words carried greetings, blessings, and encouragement, in the hope that they could find their own workplace soon.

Director Shi of the Southwest Branch points also encouraged students to directly interact with companies and representatives to keep abreast of business conditions, the related welfare system, and the latest employment situations, so as to improve the chances of success of admission.
