Director Yi-Gang Feng began his speech by introducing himself as a man "acting, writing, teaching, playing with toys," not only to give the students a basic understanding of him but also to give expression to the importance of diverse interests and developments to workers in performance. Director Feng talked about his own experience in comic art and explained to the students how to cultivate a taste of creativity and culture. He believes that a multivariate understanding of comedies, a deeper understanding of the essence of humor, and a search for comic ideas and inspirations from life can constantly contribute to his performance in comic art.

Director Feng is one of the leading performers in Taiwan, who founded Comedians’ Workshop in 1988. Since its inception, Comedians’ Workshop has always had one hundred performances every year, with explosive box offices and popular CDs. He has indeed become a famous name in households. Many of his classic performances have been videotaped and brought into high schools as supporting teaching material to their humanities curriculum. He believes that the most important thing for an artist is to focus on training that will ultimately lead to a creative taste. It is only through constant reading and traveling, as he emphasized, that one can make his eyes open and his life full of creative energy. Finally, he stressed that “the importance of creative spirit is life itself in every detail" and encouraged students to feel by heart every minute of their lives and everything that will help to enhance the creative taste in the soul.
