Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology is heading for the National College Games, organized by the Ministry of Education. The three teams include about 30 athletes for track and field contests and players of tennis and table tennis. President Tai presented team flag to them in the ceremony to encourage all the athletes and players to make every effort to come up with good results of their training and win glory for the school.

At Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, the track-and-field team has been under the positive guidance of Professor Shou-Ting Tsu, with all the players working hard and having a bright performance in the National College Games over these years. In 2013, they won one gold, one silver, and three bronze; in 2014, they collected one gold, two silver, and two bronze, with the sixth best performance in women's group nationwide in the year. This year, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology will have better performances, featuring track-and-field contests, table tennis, and tennis.

President Tai asked all the athletes and players not to be complacent. They must go further and become a leading team in national track and field contests. He showed great expectation for those who had had outstanding performance in the Southern District preliminaries. At the same time, he emphasized that the school would be very generous in granting them scholarships. As long as players have the ability to create excellent results, the school welcomes the more and the better.
