Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology won three awards to become
the biggest winner in the National MICE Creative Business Plan Competitions for Universities across the Strait.

The STUST team directly jointly by Prof. Wei-Jan Yang form the Department of International Business and Prof. Jia-Jin Lin from the Department of Innovative Product Design became the biggest winner in the National MICE Creative Business Plan Competitions for Universities across the Strait by winning three big prizes: the first place in "National MICE Creative Business Plan Competitions for Universities,” the second place in “MICE Creative Business Plan Competitions for Universities across the Strait,” and the "Best Creative Award.”

The “National Creative Business Plan Competition for Universities” has been held for six consecutive years. This year, it anchored its focus on winning the opportunities for the "2017 World Traditional Archery Competition and Carnival" to be held in Taiwan, together with the MICE Creative Business Plan Competitions for Universities across the Strait. The team from Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology team won the first place in the "National MICE Creative Business Plan Competition for Universities,” the second place in the “MICE Creative Business Plan Competitions for Universities across the Strait,” and the "Best Creative Award.”

The team from Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology worked on the theme of "2017 World Traditional Archery Competition and Carnival" by setting its spatial background against the host city of Tainan and its historical background against the so-called Spring and Autumn Period in the history of China, with Tainan Confucius Temple as the main subject for its design of opening and closing ceremonies, traditional archery contest, and center of the parade. While setting such a combined background setting with local celebrations, the team successfully reached the goal of invigorating and marketing Tainan. Overall their team came with a thematic depth, educational as well as entertaining, that deserved the acclaim and affirmation they won in the competition.
