Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology held the 2015 Internship
Achievement Exhibition to enhanced students’ ability, narrow the gap between study and practice, and share the internship experience overseas.

Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology recently held the 2015 Internship Achievement Exhibition, including both graphic shows and film shows of the results of internship experience in and out of the campus. In 2014, STUST began to implement a comprehensive internship, with which more than 3,000 students have to complete an internship during their stay here. Organizations and entities in cooperation with STUST are estimated to be approximately 1,000; a total of 89 students will complete their internships overseas during these two years in such countries as Singapore, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia, China and Indonesia.

For overseas internships, STUST organizes a lot of overseas internship practical training courses and experience sharing sessions for students to enhance students’ willingness and ability to practice in the workplace overseas. Administrative Deputy President Chang said school internship program is an extension of the school curriculum for universities of Science and Technology. In addition to impart technical knowledge, students shall strengthen their ability to do 1practical operation and thereby develop their expertise.

Senior students shared their valuable experiences and learning practice, encouraging underclassmen to participate in extracurricular internships and learn about the practical experience in the workplace and workplace culture so as to understand different industries and enhance their adaptability to workplaces in the future. In order to enhance students' quality and effectiveness in off-campus internships, the pre-employment development center annually held intern seminars, internship tutor seminars, internships and off-campus practice contests, achievement exhibitions and other activities. The achievement exhibition shows that STUST are bringing together internship outcomes from different faculties for teachers and students to learn from. Departments can use this activity to observe each other’s advantages and find partners for cooperation.
