International learning in campus: to keep happy memories of student life, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology held the premiere of the 10th International Art Festival for International students in southern Taiwan.

The Office of International Affairs of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology held its "2015International Art Festival," inviting the 200 foreign students to participate in the annual event, including students from France, Croatia, United States South Korea, Indonesia, Paraguay, India, Mongolia, Denmark, Vietnam, the Philippines, Austria, Malaysia, Japan and China, etc. There were nine groups of foreign students to participate in theatrical performances, showing their countries’ customs. There were 18 exotic cuisine food stalls. With careful planning, foreign students filled the campus with exotic artifacts in their gourmet feast. With national songs and dance performances, they also presented international learning environment of multi-cultural integration.

The enthusiastic participation of international students and teachers in the 2015 International Arts Festival showed that teachers and students of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology have an international perspective. In addition to hoping to expand the international perspective for domestic teachers and students, the festival is expected to create to make international students closer to campus life in Taiwan.

This festival offered opportunities for local students to see how international students combined traditional and modern charms into their performances. The performing activity included 20 Malaysian students performing modern dance, Danish students’ guitar playing and singing, traditional Vietnamese straw hat costume, and so many other graceful dances. There were many foreign students generously showing their love for Taiwan. In joy and rich exotic activities, cross-cultural identity and mutual respect were both greatly promoted.
