Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology won the 2015 Voyage Cup for
the National Competition of Daisy Island Tour Design

The teams led by Professor Ying-RenPanfrom the Department of Leisure, Recreation, and Tourism Management,Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technologywon the 2015 Voyage Cup for the National Competition of Daisy Island Tour Design, organized by Far Eastern Air Transport and Penghu County Government. They won the third place among the universities in "National Travel Group" and the first place in "Foreign Visitors Group." The 2015 Voyage Cup for the National Competition of Daisy Island Tour Designwas organized to find more value of Penghu County tourism industry through the promotion of creative young students.It is greatly hoped that the competition can create a lot of innovative, high-quality, diverse itineraries available to travel industry promotion.

Two teams from the Department of Leisure, Recreation, and Tourism Management, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, entered the finals. Yun-Ting Feng, Han-Ya Choi, Yin-Shuan Chen, and Ching-Huan Chen competed in in “Foreign Visits Group”with their design for Daisy Island as a great resort for honeymoon to attract visitors from Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. They focused on the off-season and tried to keep the tourism of Penghu from seasonal constraints with a thematic depth. Their design, given marketing purposes for Penghu and added by interactive dance presentations, was unanimously favored by experts and finally won the competition in the group. In the “National Travel Group,” Yi-Fang Wu, Pei-Jeng Chen, Guan-Ying Liu, and Yi-Zu Yang took 18-28 year-old young couples as their target groups, adopted international maritime Penghu Fireworks Festival and many romantic spots into their theme—"Loving Penghu for AHappy Tour" to make Penghu an island of love, and made a briefing of playful style for the judges. They were unanimously favored and won the third place in the group.
