To promote the application of IOT and RFID,GS1 Taiwan organized theCollege IOT and RFID Project Competitionfor the 6th consecutive year. The finalists included 7 teams in the fiercecompetition. Recently it held the finals and award ceremony in Taipei Caesar Hotel, where the finalists brought the actual show and competed with vivid presentations before 6 teachers and experts from academic institutions and related industries.

Professor Choa-Tang Yu from the Department of Electronics, STUST, led his team of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to propose a golf course hitting safety mechanism, trying to solve the problem resulting in people being frightened or accidentally hit in a golf course duet to environmental constraints or human error.Their work is very practical and has commercialized value. When such a mechanism is built in a golf course,a group of players can avoid mistakenly hit those in the preceding group; this can significantly enhance the security of a gold course, so that the public can have fun and play safely on the course.
