The University of Yangon sent a delegation to visit Southern Taiwan University of  Science and Technology

President Dr. Aung Thu of the University of Yangon led a delegation to Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology. They visited the Library, the R & D cooperation and achievement showroom, biotechnology center, Innolux laboratory, and various teaching equipment. They showed great praise and affirmation for the strength and productivity of STUST in terms of its cooperation with industries for research and development. The two universities pledged to build closer relationship for cooperation in the future.

The University of Yangon, located in Gan Ma Yu, Yangon, is the oldest and the most famous university in Myanmar, with its focus on the humanities, physical sciences and jurisprudence. The number of its students is about 15,000 in total. The school reopened admissions in recent two years. US President Barack Obama has visited the school in 2012 and delivered a speech.

Dr. Aung Thu, President of the University of Yangon, has never visited Taiwan before. This ice-breaking trip offered the school a great opportunity to know more about STUST and its school performance, excellent teachers and equipment, thereby attracting their graduates to attend STUST. The two universities would have exchanges and an opportunity for cooperation in the future.
