A great response to the International Volunteer Day: Southern Taiwan University of
Science and Technology participated in the National Conference of Volunteer Teachers

The International Volunteer Student Society of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology recently made a great response to the International Volunteer Day. Led by Su-Ing Hsu, Associate Professor of the Department of International Business, about 20 volunteer members went to Changhua County Stadium to participate in the National Conference of Volunteer, organized by the Federation of Volunteers of the Republic of China. The activity was sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, with President Ma invited for a speech. The conference gathered a total of 130 volunteer teams of all age groups, with nearly 4,000 volunteers in the venue. STUST International Volunteer Student Society joined the event as the only university of this grand event from South Taiwan.

National Volunteer Conference was an activity to bring up the morale of volunteers, encourage volunteers, promote the exchange of learning volunteers throughout the county and into every city, and show the effectiveness of volunteer services. To promote and give the greatest encouragement to volunteer service teams, the conference particularly highlighted the National Volunteering Assembly and its demonstration activities. The main purpose is to share hope and love. The event invited President Ma for a speech, who said that his blood donation record has reached 188 times, which could be a reference for the volunteer service. The event was quite interesting and meaningful, not only for community volunteer members to broaden their horizons but also for more volunteers to understand the truth and understand the local culture.

"We are IVA, We are the best!" was the slogan of the International Volunteer Student Society of Southern Taiwan University of Science. They shouted the slogan in the activity to bring an interesting opening. In addition, five routes were arranged to allow each volunteer team to observe the activities of other teams. The international community volunteers went to Masing Community in Hsiushui, Lukang for a visit. Masing community volunteer mothers have made great contribution to the community. Members benefited a lot from their visit to Masing Community and their interaction with the mothers in the community. In the glass museum they visited local specialties and works of art, experiencing that each piece has its own story and meaning of exclusive work of the master behind countless sweat in exchange for hard work. National Volunteer Conference brought a great feast for the body and soul of each volunteer before he or she continues the voluntary journey in the future.
