The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, has hold the exhibition ever since 1989. Over the past 26 years, it has never stopped, due to the full support of the former President Chin-Chung Chang and Principal Tai Chien. It has become the largest auto show in southern Taiwan. This year the exhibition saw its 27th presence on December 5 and 6 in the campus of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology. The exhibition plan was divided into seven areas, with more than 100 manufacturers jointly holding booths over 400 booths. This year, the exhibition attracted students and teachers from two high schools: Pingtung Engineering High School and Chiayi Engineering High School. The exhibition was taken as part of their workplace experience. Moreover, it was an opportunity for the high school students to open their eyes for a better look of the world.

This year the show was mainly divided into Imported Cars Area, Domestic Cars Area, Motorcycle Area, Electric Cars Area, Audio Area, Automobile Instrument Area, Supercar Area, and Project achievements Exhibition Area—a display of the elaborate thematic works by teachers and students of the university.There were approximately 470booths. In addition, the school organized the "17th Anniversary Thematic Work Contest" and the "Outstanding Thematic Work Achievement Exhibition,”showing a great collection ofexcellent student projects and thematic worksby students ofdifferent faculties. As for the car display, Mercedes, Audi, BMW classic cars were all shown, added by a lot of popular car models introduced by various auto-manufacturers.In addition, brand new motorcycles were brought to the foreground of the show, including Macro Guidant, Gwangyang, Sanyang, and Yamaha; Aprilia, Kawasaki, BMW, Suzuki, MV Agusta, Honda and other famous sports motorcycles were also exhibited. In addition, the exhibition includes electric bicycles, instruments and equipment, modified cars, car stereos and a lot of other fine auto accessories--almost the entire spectrum of auto and motor elated industries was here.

The highlight of the show was the Taiwan Mazu car provided by Mr. Her-Huang Chen, which was strongly invited by teachers and students with enthusiasm. Elliott and OPTION car magazine, two of the show's sponsors provided more than 20 super sports car, Tesla P85, a whopping big cow LP-700, Mavericks Lamborghini LP-570, LP-610, Frog King RWB Porsche , Mazda RX-7, Farrari 458,997GT3 cup, Audi R8, Nissan GTR R35, BMW M3, and many others, worth a total value of almost one billion NT dollars.

This year in cooperation with the Electric Vehicle Association and Sound Association, the exhibition showed hundreds of electric cars and modified car stereo and, In addition to the performance of modified cars, equipment, etc., brought together almost all steam locomotive related industries here. The organizer offered the largest assortment of prizes, the biggest of which was an electric bike given by Lovely Horse Co. The prizes were given at 14:00 on the 2nd, 4:00, and in the morning of the 11th, in the R zone, lucky draws were given to participants.
