place in the Mixed Group in the 104th School Year College Cheerleading championship.

Cheerleaders of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology won the 5th place in the Mixed Group in the 104th School Year College Cheerleading championship, organized by the NSA of the Republic of China's universities in New Taipei City. All the participating teams did their best trying to win the championship in the competition. With their dazzling performance, the cheerleaders of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology stood out from among a great number of teams.

There were a total of 12 categories in the 104 School Year College Cheerleading Championship. From all over the country came more than 1,300 cheerleaders to the competition; there were students from 42 colleges and universities to participate in the tournament for the implementation of the stability of operation and techniques and the degree of completion, complete Grading comprising. The team from Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology won the fifth place with their outstanding performance and dazzling dances.

As the team leader of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology said, special thanks should be given to the support of the school, their coaches, and their graduating seniors who gave them guidance in practice. The players, against all odds, worked together in the training camp every night and every holiday through the intensive training for nearly six months. Although they had to drive to Taipei as early as two o'clock in the morning, the team of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology still showed enthusiasm during the competition. Their performance shocked the audience: with their slogans, their uniformed arm movements, their confident smiles, their pyramid tips and conversion shows, and their amazing dance performances, their spirit impressed the judges and the audience as well.

The STUST cheerleading team has been established for fifteenth years. It is one of the school’s clubs with a long history. In spite of the early hardship, their members adhere to the team and have been able to maintain brisk performances. More laudable is that on the day many alumni from all over Taiwan drove north to form a strong group to support them.
