Intercollegiate Badminton Tournament, with great players from all over the Taiwan
joining the competitions.

Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology held the 2nd Naitai Cup Intercollegiate Badminton Tournament, with approximately 300 student players from 57 colleges and universities. The social group was added this year, joined by more than 300 teams, with up to 500 players in the fierce competitions. The event attracted great players among colleges all over the Taiwan to the competitions, making it highly competitive. Deputy Ministry of Labor Department Guo-Wen Guo, Chairman of Tainan Yongkang District Sports Association Wen-Yi Lee, and a of a important officials came to cheer for the players.

Greatly supported by the Extracurricular Activity Section of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and organized by all the staff members of the Badminton Club, the event has long been prepared ever since last December. After school hours, all the students made great efforts to turn this event into a very successful one; they even sacrificed their holidays. This event was organized by the Extracurricular Activity Section of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, assisted by the Badminton Club of Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science and sponsored by the well-known VICTOR Badminton Co. Ltd, Tainan Yongkang District Sports Association, and many other public and private organizations dedicated to sports.

Jun-Yi Wang, a player of STUST Badminton Club, and his partner met power opponents in every game they played and suffered a lot from their challenges. As they met the winning team quite early, they could only get fifth place. On the other hand, in women's singles, Jia-Yun Chang overcame difficulties and strived to the fore with her great skills. However, she lost in the semi-finals of this tournament women's singles champion. Finally, she won the third place those as she lost to the champion player.

Su-Yeuh Su, Instructor of STUST Badminton Club, was very pleased with their performance. She said that this achievement was a great result from the efforts of everyone; she hoped that players would maintain the advantages and make improvements in the future, which would certainly make the event better and produce better results.
