Fostering the future generation of the country: Affiliated Kindergarten of Southern
Taiwan University of Science and Technology held a graduation ceremony with great warmth.

Graduation from kindergarten is the first of many great events to come in a child’s life; it is also a time to see what kids have learned. Affiliated Kindergarten of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology held its thirteenth graduation on July 25. Unlike the high-spirited graduation for college students, the kindergarten graduation here is more than a dash of innocence and sadness. As the 30 graduates wearing formal dress stepped into the hall one after another, the video was shown on the screen about how these children had grown from small classes to large classes. The whole ceremony was full of growth and transformation as well as bidding and blessing; it was also interspersed with songs and dance performances, linked by a series of physical movements, so that parents could see the youth and vitality of their young graduating kids.

While waiting for admission, Ting Yu Chi, one of the graduates, could not help saying: "I am so nervous and so reluctant to leave!" To see their children come upon the stage, the hearts of the parents of graduates have been deeply touched. Li-Zi Chao, one of the parents, said, "The baby is to graduate. We are so happy that she grew up and yet so sad that we were going to bid farewell to the STUST nursery and kindergarten. We have been going in and out of it over the past 6 years. We are really grateful to teachers for having brought us all these great memories. Another parent, Hsing-Lian Nie said, "Thank you, the schoolmaster and the two teachers and everything about the STUST Affiliated Kindergarten. You have made our children grow up in such colorful environment of happiness.

Each graduate went upon the stage to receive the first diploma of his or her life from Vice president Lu, accompanied by his or her parents who came to help them take a bag full graduation gifts. It seemed that the lively, naughty children had all grown up at the moment all of a suddenly. Vice President Lu, in his speech to the graduates, said, "One day in STUST means a lifetime. We hope that every child will always remember that he or she is a student of STUST in the future and that he or she should work and progress, holding an international perspective and caring about the society. "
