Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Brogent Information Co. Ltd., under the witness of Minister Hong-dun Yang of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Director Wun-Gu Huang of Economic Affairs Export Processing Zone, call for a press conference at the Library Hall of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology for the "Somatosensory System Content Intellectual Production Center" and declared their bilateral cooperation and joint commitment to 4D, 5D, VR, AR and other new types of entertainment content production system as well as their efforts in personnel training and technology development. The ceremony was attended by representatives from industries, governments and academic sphere of science, symbolizing that the research, development, innovation, implementation, and ventures are integrated into a body of technology. It also spelled out a castle for the young students’ dream. Brogent Information will donate a NT $ 3 million worth six-axis somatosensory internet related equipment to Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology. It is expected that school personnel training and technology development can get along well with industry standards, so as to create a cumulative momentum of the industry of somatosensory technology in Taiwan.

Minister Hong-Dun Yang of the Ministry of Science and Technology said that he was quite happy to see the cooperation between with Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Brogent Information, as it symbolizes the development of digital content and industry-university cooperation in southern Taiwan toward a new milestone for their entry into the high-end from the inherent animation, gaming, blue ocean theme park rides market, but also to enhance the level of industry. Director Wun-Gu Huang of Economic Affairs Export Processing Zone also said that the Ministry of Economy has been paying great attention to sustainable cooperation development of the industry and talent for the leading industry of somatosensory technology. It also looks forward to the establishment of an intelligent somatosensory Industry development center, which can become the R & D base for the operations of related industries, the expansion of industry cooperation and efficient personnel training, promoting industrial upgrading and international standards.

General Manager Chi-Hong Ouyang of Brogent Information said that global theme parks are moving toward virtualization and body probation, gradually replacing the traditional mechanical outdoor recreational facilities. Hardware and software needs by somatosensory recreational facilities are expanding. Brogent information is largest somatosensory simulation equipment manufacturer in Taiwan as well as in Asia. In recent years, it has had great success in its expansion into the global market, offering a great supply of products to the theme parks around the world. Next year there will be five sets of "i-Ride" flight theater being completed; there will therefore be a great storm of sales over Europe and the Middle East markets, including Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Abu Dhabi and other places well-known amusement parks, which will gradually begin operating in 2017. In addition to large-scale recreational facilities, Brogent Information will put VR into the company's key projects in development of personalized virtual reality equipment and related applications.

Professor Hwa-Cheng Chang, Director of the somatosensory system center, said that "Our mission is to bring to the public surprise and experience of unlimited fun. In the future the demand of Brogent Information for talent in development will be the principle of leading technology research and personnel training center. The training will be focused on cultivating professionals in machine control, image processing, cloud computing, technical art, 3D design, and entertainment design, with the purpose to meet the needs of the company and the industry. As for research and development, the center will enhance the technology toward somatosensory detection, virtual reality, and augmented reality, mixed reality, induce sensory experience, and simulated technical level, ceaselessly making efforts to create a better experience.
