Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology fortified its Eagle Formula Racing Team to challenge the Race in Japan

The Eagle Formula Racing Team of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology once again went to Shizuok in Japan to participate in the "All Japan Student Formula. A total of 106 teams from 11 countries have registered with the racing. From Taiwan, there were also teams from Tsinghua University and Taiwan NTUT. Since 2005, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology has began to develop the Formula Student racing cars; it was also the country's first and only team years ago. The recent decade has seen a growing participation of other universities in the racing, which has been popular for over 40 years as an international engineering and vehicle competition.

The development of Formula Student Racing at STUST has lasted for more than a decade. This year, the team introduced another SAE student racing car—Baja SAE. This racing began even earlier than the All Japan Student Formula; it was the first one in the development of Student Formula Racing. Prof. Jin-Wei Chang, Instructor of the racing team, indicated that the purpose of developing this new car is to improve the training of personnel throughout the Eagle Racing Team via experience with two vehicle construction processes in different properties, so that students can have a more solid capabilities for design and manufacturing. Adhere to the attitudes toward developing a local racing team but hoping to attract more manufacturers to support provide them, the Eagle racing team wishes to make the world feel their heat and light and bring products made in Taiwan to the public.

Japan Student Formula moved on from September 6 -10. In addition to actively practicing English instructions for related design, participating students also repeatedly operated all maintenance techniques and simulated all the possible situations, hoping to bring their power into full force in the racing and bring back the trophy. The Eagle Racing Team are warmly welcoming sponsors who agree and are willing to provide substantial supports to the team. Moreover, this year the team would recruit more students to the team. Everyone is welcome as long as he or she is interested in vehicle competition and comes with expertise in mechanical, electrical, design, business management, marketing and other related fields. Those who were good at driving are also welcome.
