Southern TaIn order to strengthen the understanding of the practical use of technical and vocational education among high schools, the society, and enterprises, iwan University of Science and Technology held activities for the vocational high schools of Yunlin-Jiayi-Tainan Cross-Border Model Strategic Alliance to share the results of their work. STUST not only showed the model showcase of the strategic alliance in research and development, but also invited the teachers and students of 17 high schools to join it. It aimed to establish cooperation for all the technical colleges and vocational high schools, integrate their educational resources, and promote the inter-linkage of students’ learning. The results included multimedia, electronic and electrical optoelectronics, mechanical automation, humanities and design, business entrepreneurship, medical technology and chemical materials, and information applications, shown in a total of 69 booths that displayed all the highlights, such as fighting VR, virtual wisdom 3D printing, ancient mechanical technology, B16 electric business platform business case, interactive bracelet, etc.

It expanded its activities to the Museum of Ancient Mechanical Science and Technology, which extends the development of ancient machinery to digital media science education and creative product design by combining engineering, digital design, and communication. It is not only a permanent exhibition of ancient machinery, but also a production base and an experimental base for science education.

With the support of the "Model University of Science and Technology for Development" project, Southern University of Science and Technology has constructed professional hardware and space to give full force to the concept of resource sharing and industry-university co-prosperity among universities of science and technology. The Innovation and Incubation Center at STUST aims to serve all the vocational high schools of Yunlin-Jiayi-Tainan Cross-Border Model Strategic Alliance, their teachers and students, alumni and young people who are interested in the use of social entrepreneurship for the domestic industry. Through the new advanced equipment, improved counseling mechanism, timely assistance, STUST provides a one-stop service in line with the market and the strategic alliance for their research and development. Through the "IQ Space," STUST can help entrepreneurship develop their patents, attain commercialization of their R & D results, enhance the value-added and use of intellectual property. This is not only to promote industry-universityexchange, but also for the industries in South Taiwan to have a strong entrepreneurial energy.

Professor Tai said that over the past few years, the school has been working hard to shorten the gap in learning and to cultivate the necessary talents, in order to achieve the goal of graduation and employment and assist enterprises in developing key technologies and enhance their competitiveness through industrial linkages and institutional reforms.
