University of Science and Technology, participated in the first UPLAN Cup Fantasy Journey Planning Contest and won the second place.

Department of Leisure, Recreation, and Tourism Management, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, participated in the first UPLAN Cup Fantasy Journey Planning Contest, organized by Cool Point Campus and Travel World. Led by Prof. Mei Ling Ko, the team chose “When I-BON are together) as the theme of their travel plan, with their market focused on the main Singapore reward tourist groups. Their plan featured Taiwan's three major characteristics of the culture--aboriginal culture, Hakka culture, and cultural creativity—and designed a five-day travel itinerary with unique and creative incentives. They outdistanced 116 groups from all over the island and won the second place with their brilliant performance.

Junior Student Yun-Wei Gao said that three students of the team had worked for a travel agency for their internship. They were very happy that they could apply what they had learned at school and in the industry to their design, creating such a unique travel package that the judges and reviewer appreciated. The itinerary they designed is for the new southward policy, targeting Singapore tourists as their main target group and focusing on the emerging incentive market in recent years as well as the general market segment. In addition to the three major characteristics of Taiwan's culture as their main focus (aboriginal culture, Hakka culture, and cultural creativity), they designed a lot of other interesting and interesting group activities and exciting dinner activities in an attempt to create a unique and distinguished travel experience.

In order to help young students develop more thinking ability and creativity, Cool Point Campus and Travel World worked together in organizing the "First UPLAN Cup Fantasy Journey." Teachers and students of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology actively participated in the competition and allowed students to study the trip in the process of careful planning and thinking, hoping that they could apply to real situations what they had learn in classroom about tourism and management.
