Actively promotion and development of talent exchange with Malaysia: President
Chien Tai of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, along with Tainan
City University Union, visited the University of Malaya, Federation of Alumni Associations of Taiwan Universities in Malaysia, and Unified Chinese School Committee’s Associations of Malaysia.

President Chien Tai of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, along with Mayer Lai and Tainan City University Union, visited the University of Malaya, Federation of Alumni A Association of Alumni Associations of Taiwan Universities in Malaysia, and Unified Chinese School Committee’s Association of Malaysia.

University of Malaya was founded in 1905 as the oldest university in Malaysia, known as a five-star university affirmed by the QS of the UK. In the University of Malaya, the visiting group was received by Vice President Dr. Mahgud Bulgiba Awg Mahmud and all the deans. President Chien Tai of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology introduced the concept and the status of his university, especially the international and industrial cooperation for the development of the South Taiwan University of Science and Technology, looking forward to cooperation with the University of Malaya in promoting cooperation between teachers and students. Dr. Mahgud also expressed his willingness to establish a key cooperation area with the member schools of the Union of Tainan University in promoting teacher-student exchange and cooperation research.

Federation of Alumni Associations of Taiwan Universities in Malaysia was established in 1974 and is composed of all the Taiwan alumni associations in Malaysia. It was established for the purpose of establishing a school for the purpose of helping students gain recognition in education. It is now an important organization to keep Taiwan students stand together; it also give counseling to Malaysian young students who want to study in Taiwan. In the witness of Tainan City Mayor Ching-Der Lai and Director Jia-Ping Chang of Malaysian Taipei Economic and Cultural Office common witness, Union of Tainan Universities signed a memorandum of cooperation in personnel exchanges agreement with Chief Executive Officer Chi-Guang Chen of Federation of Alumni Associations of Taiwan Universities in Malaysia. Both promised to work together in promoting personnel training.

Unified Chinese School Committee’s Associations of Malaysia was established in 1954 for the maintenance and development of Malaysian education in civil society. The organization has 1,298 national Chinese primary schools, 82 national high schools and 60 Chinese independent secondary schools. It is not only an important organization for promoting Chinese education in Malaysia, but also an important institution to promote the students there to study in Taiwan. In the witness of Tainan City Mayor Ching-Der Lai and , Director Jia-Ping Chang of the Malaysian Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, and Chairman Li-Ming Liu of Unified Chinese School Committee’s Associations of Malaysia, Union of Tainan Universities and Chief Executive Officer Wan-Ying Gong of Unified Chinese School Committee’s Associations of Malaysia signed an memorandum on talent exchange and cooperation. Both would be committed to working together to promote personnel training.
