The contest of Cross-Strait Tourism Elite Cup has been held for six consecutive years. This year, nearly five hundred teams from all over Taiwan came to the preliminary contest to win the four titles of different districts and the ticket to the final. More mainland universities came to join the Tourism Elite Cup, creating a cross-strait tourism platform for youth exchange to promote domestic and foreign planning and design for professional training and planning. Tourism and related industries can thus be developed; professionals in the industry of individual travel planning and design can also be enhanced.

The competition is based on incentive tourism, which is different from the general tourism planning. Such an incentive travel needs to accommodate thousands of people and therefore requires more professional planning and arrangement. It does not only include itinerary planning, the event arrangement, the theme dinner design; professional control skills in implementation of large-scale meetings throughout the process are required, while there should be an integration of Taiwan's specialties, multi-cultures, and well-known attractions. As a student working in the field of leisure and entertainment, each must devoted his or her future to tourism and leisure industry. Everyone will have to learn their own run, carry forward their favorite expertise, hoping that they can plan for more different tours and make more people understand the beauty of Taiwan.
