Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology participated in the 2017
College Games: athletes deserved praises and appreciation for their spirit of fighting.

The athletics team of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology participated in the 2017 College Games organized by the Taiwan University. It was very valuable to win the outstanding achievements. Led by the head of Physical Education Center--Prof. Ming-Hu Guo, the team won the 4th place in 4 different contests: men’s 400 meters relay, men’s 400 meters hurdles, women’s hammer, and women’s 400 meters hurdles. In addition, the team also won the 5th and the 7th places in men's hammer, the 6th and the 8th in men's 100 meters, the 7th in men's 110 meters hurdles and women's 100 meters hurdles.

The track and field team, which used to be led by Prof. So-Ting Shu, was able to win excellent results over the years. However, Prof. Shu could not lead the team this time due to his temporary illness. Over the past six months, the team followed the coach’s training program and trained themselves step by step in their practice. In the 2017 track and field sports games, they still maintained their competitiveness and won a lot of applauses and praises. The track and field team worked hard in practice and fought to the last minute; everyone in the team is a great model for other students to follow.
