  Google launched a digital learning space in Tainan to implement its "Intelligent Taiwan” project, investing great digital resources in South Taiwan to cultivate intelligent people in Taiwanese.    2018/5/23    

 

In order to implement its "Intelligent Taiwan" project, launched in March this year, Google announced on May 19 the official opening of the Google Digital Learning Space at the Tainan Cultural and Creative Industrial Park. In response to the development of the Intelligent People in the project, Google provided completely free online Chinese Digital Marketing online courses through the Google Digital Learning Program, and for the first time created an independent physical teaching space to hold one-year substantive courses. Launching the digital online and physical courses will be helpful to all those who are interested in upgrading their digital capabilities and bring them more interactive and practical teaching training. This will increase the competitiveness of digital talents in Taiwan and promote the digital transformation of the industry.

Google Taiwan Marketing Deputy General Manager Chi-Cheng Li said, “We are very grateful to the support and assistance from the Bureau of Culture of Tainan City Government, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and Tainan Cultural and Creative Industrial Park, which allow us to create the first Google Digital Learning Space in Taiwan. This space will benefit local students, teachers, SME businesses, job seekers, start-ups, and those who are in need of upgrading their digital marketing capabilities. In addition to the implementation of Google’s “Intelligent Taiwan” project and cultivation of intelligent people, we hope that we can balance the resources of North Taiwan and South Taiwan, so that our cooperation projects with governments, industries, and universities will not be limited to the northern region. We welcome everyone to make use of this one-year substantive course to better understand digital marketing and improve skills in related fields."

According to Deputy Director Ya-Jing Chou of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Tainan City Government, Tainan City is a city with unique characteristics in its cultural and creative industries. Confronted with the global trend of digital technological transformation, it is hoped that Google, a leader in the technology industry, can promote learning and teaching through digital learning entities. The development of small and medium-sized enterprises and several marketing talents in the local Tainan area has helped Tainan's local enterprises and the cultural and creative industry to acquire sufficient capabilities and knowledge to transition to digital.

【Google Digital Learning Courses and Interactive Workshops bring digital marketing related knowledge to the classroom】

In March this year, Google announced its launching of “Intelligent Taiwan” project, which is pivoted on Taiwan’s development toward artificial intelligence in terms of talents, economy, and ecosystems, targeted on strengthening the overall digital capabilities of the industry and the academia. In developing digital talent, Google has launched a free and Chinese-language digital marketing online learning platform— “Google Digital Learning Program”—in Taiwan. It has successively established physical courses in Tainan and Taichung, allowing professional instructors to teach Google’s digital learning process, including digital themed courses, Google AdWords Certificated certification courses, and other elective courses and interactive workshops related to digital marketing. By integrating online teaching and offline courses and gradually expanding the dissemination of digital knowledge, Google expects to train 50,000 digital marketing professionals in Taiwan within one year.

The Google Digital Learning Program course has been officially launched. The contents cover multiple aspects, ranging from the most basic newsletter communication skills and personal resume production to digital marketing strategy development, introduction to digital advertising, social media strategy and special case writing. Even digital marketing courses that target on Google AdWords Certificate Test are covered. In addition, workshops are also organized for SMEs to help companies understand the market through digital tools and enhance their competitiveness. Google hopes to use these courses to help local SMEs and businesses increase their digital power. At the same time, they can also help local students and job seekers to strengthen their digital skills and upgrade their careers. Since digital marketing is also a relatively new field in school teaching, Google also set its target specifically on teachers, setting up study courses for them to bring the digital knowledge to students in the classroom.
