The College of Digital Design, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, held a graduation exhibition for its five departments in 2019. It was exhibited in the Sanlian Hall for four consecutive days from April 10 to 13, and the grand opening ceremony was held on April 10. The joint exhibition is the largest exhibition of the college, with a total of 118 works.

This year, the theme "Come Together" means each of us should be working together before we meet together. Each student has his or her own skills: Department of Visual Communication Design—electrographic pen, Department of Information Communication—playing board, Department of Multimedia and Computer Entertainment Science—electric rocker, Department of Pop Music Industry—microphone, and Department of Innovative Product Design—iron Hey. The five-department exhibition is like a chemical with various properties incorporated into the experimental cup, flowing to the bottom and producing the expected results from the beginning. The most basic color can be used to match any possibility, just like the five-department exhibition of the College of Digital Design, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

The "Come Together" graduation exhibition of The College of Digital Design came with its diverse themes and presentations that are more innovative than ever, including animation and film productions, integrated marketing, footwork, graphic and packaging design, and game and product design. It is worth mentioning that the Department of Pop Music Industry, which is the first department in the country to cultivate talents in the pop music industry, for the first time join the graduation exhibition this year. The course covers four areas of expertise required by the industry: creative performances, performing arts brokers, Stage lighting, sound recording engineering.

Among the many outstanding graduates of the College of Digital Design, the "SORROWFUL BELL" by the animation group was based on the technique of using the special hand-painted watercolor combined with the computer 2D technique, followed by the painting work of computer and animation synthesis to achieve a special animated visual effects. Another work, "Red City: Ink Works," was produced by way of ink painting. It was hoped that viewers could feel the rich cultural atmosphere in the appreciation of this animation, whether it was a tangible table and ink in the New Year's Eve or the invisible idea of peaceful feelings. The Creative Life Design Group's work "Only Speaking" was based on Taiwan's rich religious beliefs. It also worked on the temples in Tainan City, using text extensions with different colors to create text-based poems and action pages. With illustrations, professional texts, temples and god legends, professional verb texts and ancient words to extend the design, it not only showed that the faith is closer to the people's hearts, but also made the traditional images more interesting.

The Department of Multimedia and Computer Entertainment Science also has many excellent works. Among them, "Frenzy Retribution" is a highly punitive third-person fast-paced action game. The hard style forces the player to understand the complete action system of the game. The resulting stimuli give players a higher sense of accomplishment and challenge. This work has a high level performance in both the protagonist as well as the enemy's 2D design, 3D modeling, scene production, scene effects, and program aggregation. In addition to high-level action games, the multi-music system also has works with quite different styles and contents. The design team composed of five students expresses Taiwan's local cultural characteristics with their work “Ring and Don.” The 2D visual art expressions combined with versatile but simple level design create an intimate but unfamiliar worldview, aiming to circulate these folklores that are familiar to Taiwanese and interpret the implied ancestors in their modern creations, with their spirit and meaning inside.

The documentary film of the Department of Information and Communication is "Class Time, Teacher," in which images are translated by the "Old Station Dream Renovator" of the pupils of Datong Elementary School and the new cross-domain outside the textbook—"Symbolism with Water—Floating Island" by the students of Simen Elementary School. The example of diversified education finds the common ground between the two schools and implements STEAM education in the upper primary school, emphasizing the combination of traditional education rather than replacing it. The work runs through this entire documentary, showing the trends and importance of visionary education and STEAM education from two examples.

"Panacea" by the Department of Innovative Product Design is the most important medical care topic for modern people. It develops an easy-to-understand image display method, combining and simplifying current technologies to help professional women through image recognition and AI. The innovation of artificial intelligence technology makes it easy to self-examine the physical state, automatically establishes a test result record through the mobile APP, and give timely advice on health care.

In addition, it is worth mentioning that this year saw the first graduates of the Department of Pop Music Industry. Five independent orchestras participated in the exhibition. From the arrangement of music composition, recording engineering, image editing to live performance, lighting and sound stage design, all students were organized to show amazing strength.

In addition to the on-campus exhibition, the five-department exhibition of the College of Digital Design will be held in Taipei's "New Generation Design Exhibition", "A+ Creative Season Exhibition", "Kaohsiung Youth Design Exhibition", "Kaohsiung Watching Award", and "Kaohsiung Moonlight Theater." The important exhibition venues, such as "The Wall Music Show in Taipei", were exhibited. It is hoped that the show can help exchange ideas with the design works of all the schools in Taiwan, and allow the students broaden their horizons and learn more. Industry experts will be invited to visit and guide and let the industry see the diversity of development and the soft power of design of the College of Digital Design.
