The competitors came from nine countries, including Brazil, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, and China. As they had excellent skills, the competition was quite fierce. Under the encouragement and guidance of many training teachers, Taiwanese player Yu-Shiang Hung participated in the 2019 Global Skills Challenge (Bakery Production Category), working hard for a total of 16 hours in the competition, showing strong will and hard work, and winning the silver medal for the team. It was quite difficult for Hung to win the silver medal. Her advisor Shu-Yi Huang is also an international judge in skill competitions and a referee in national skill competitions, with rich experience in competitions.

In response to the event in Australia, the theme of the bakery production competition was "Australia Great Barrier Reef." The 2-day competition included making 2 large cakes, sugar craft decoration, and large chocolate art creation, along with 4 mysterious projects: banquet snack making, handmade chocolate making, marzipan molding, and mysterious box dessert. The four projects were announced to the players as late as one day before the competition, which greatly tested the players' on-the-spot response and basic skills.

In this competition, Hung used the fruit mango mousse in a passionate tropical style as the main mousse, with chocolate mousse as the supporting role. In addition, with the berry jelly, the overall sour taste was enhanced; the aroma of the fruit, together with the fried caramel, could make the whole cake more tasteful. The bottom layer of almond cake made the whole cake greasy and added to its layering taste. The production of sweet and sour cakes with different tissues was highly appreciated by the judges.

He hoped to experience multiculturalism through international exchanges and gradually improve the international outlook of students and the resistance to participation. Yu-Shiang Hung expressed her gratitude to teachers who supported and encouraged them all the time. In particular, along with the encouragement and guidance of Prof. Shu-Yi Huang and many national training teachers, she was very grateful to the National Training Center and the help of various units. Without them, it was not possible that the Taiwan delegation could have had the opportunity to go to the competition and won the glory for the country.
