The 2020 graduation exhibition of the Department of Visual Communication Design, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology—"Dinner Is Ready”—was launched, with its goal to for the students of the Department of Visual Communication Design to jointly present these delicious visual delicacies to everyone for a feast. It was hoped that the exhibition could satisfy everyone's visual experience while sharing all the joy.

18 groups of students from the Department of Visual Communication Design, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, were shortlisted at the new generation design exhibition this year. Among them, the most distinctive one was the work "From Taiwan" by the commercial design group, which was shortlisted as the Annual Best Design Award by Golden Point Rookie Design Award. 4 other works were shortlisted in the "Packaging Design Category" and “Visual Communication Design Category” by Golden Point Rookie Sponsor Special Award, including "MERIING FIREFLY," "Genial Café," "Literature of the Salt," and "ting-a-ka." They passed the review and was promoted to the final review, while "Born for forest" was strongly promoted to the final review of "Golden Point Rookie Circular Design Special Award," which is exciting and worth expecting.

The emotional communication of Tainan people is often done by way of the dining table and the hand-to-hand dishes, narrowing the distance between people. All the backcourt busy cutting sound, meticulous knife work, exquisite soup, cooking table, and cooking sound correspond to the busy situation of making graduation design. Yet, the sound of cutting vegetables in the back field is just like the students’ discussing about their design works with each other, while the sound of cooking shows that the students' works have been discussed many times and the teachers have been carefully checked and taught. Then all these are sublimated into a truly authentic Tainan flavor.

Deng-Maw Lu, President of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, expressed his gratitude to the “chefs” of the Department of Visual Communication Design for the delicious dishes. He hoped that through this exhibition, the hearts of teachers and students in the university would be rich, satisfying, happy and grateful. The open exhibition allowed more people to pay more attention and understanding to the Department of Visual Communication Design, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, making the authentic visual cuisine of Tainan life design be tasted and enjoyed again.
