The "New Rainy Day Stadium" of the STUST began construction on January 3 this year. It has been completed now, costing NT$ 48 million and covering an area of 3,866 square meters. The main purpose is to enable students to continue sports courses or sports activities in bad weather, whether it is hot or rainy and to enhance students' willingness to exercise. In addition, it can also be used for large-scale events, such as school celebrations and graduation ceremonies.

The "New Rainy Day Stadium" uses a single-span sloping roof and solar panels that can be installed above it in the future. The venue includes 4 basketball courts, two volleyball courts, and two tennis courts. It can accommodate more than 3,500 people. A sunshade grille is added to the east of the court to reduce glare. The top of the court is equipped with LED lighting for basketball, volleyball, and tennis. A rainwater recovery pond with a storage capacity of 210 tons is set below, which serves as a modern facility for student sports, teaching, and environmental protection. Integrated with the school's comprehensive sports field, table tennis, badminton courts, and gymnasium, the Yoho life building will provide sufficient exercise space for students to enhance their physical conditions.

In recent years, STUST has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on campus renovation, software and hardware equipment, and other renovation projects. This campus project will create a north-south vertical living and learning field located in the core area of the school and centered on student activities. In addition to the newly built "New Rainy Day Stadium," there are auxiliary learning areas in the planning, including the Arts and Culture Center, entrepreneurship classrooms, community buildings, the Round Sky and Square Earth Square, square performance venues, water landscaping, rainy day stadiums, campus pavilions, Lovers Trail, the tracks and fields, Yoho Living Building, and the library. Together with the roads and trails in a series, the entire space will create a new terrace for STUST that integrates humanities, technology, and green environment.
