Two senior members of STUST cheerleading team participated in this competition. The National College Games just ended at the end of October, and the participants had to immediately practice for the competition without taking a rest. The former captain of STUST Cheerleaders Shao-En Chiu said that every stage of the process had his expectations and gaps. In fact, the ranking did not matter at all. For the team, the process was "all-round." It was more important for us. This competition actually did not meet my standards, but the doubles were a big challenge, a one-minute anaerobic competition process, which made participants to show their stability and persistence. He hoped this could encourage the team members to face any sadness and bravely survive every challenge.

After graduating from STUST in June this year, Zhi-Yun Yang, a female senior student from STUST, chose to continue her study in the graduate school of STUST. It was not easy to continue training even when she was busy with her studies. Yang said that they may not be talented enough, but they could make their full efforts, and good returns wouldn’t come late as long as they continue to walk on the way forward. The Single Bottom Group was a challenge that required great physical strength, technology, and courage for the contestants. The good results in this competition should be attributed to the accumulation of their hard work on weekdays.

In addition, Guo-Shiang Yeh, who was a graduate of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering of STUST, won first place in the Mixed Double Skills Open Group. Yeh was very interested in cheerleader's flying skills, and he also studied the flying skills in his spare time. In the competition he teamed up with Guan-Ting Liu, a graduate of Zhongyuan University, winning first place in the first try, which deserved encouragement.

In this event, students from STUST's competitive cheerleading team enthusiastically volunteered to work for it. They worked together to achieve the first 2020 National Cheerleading Open and the competition ended successfully. The following events and activities related to cheerleading would include "Cheerleading C-level Coaching Workshop," "2020 Ocean Cup National Cheerleading Team Championship and City Cheerleading Invitational Tournament," and "2020 National Cheerleading Championship." It is hoped that the players would continue to work hard and strive for honor.
