The Lunar New Year is approaching. Due to the pandemic situation in Taiwan, events of all sizes have been suspended. STUST has also cancelled the previous method of reunion of the whole school to handle the year-end party in order to coordinate with the Central Disease Center. Every school unit held a party for itself. The annual year-end party and lottery contest was held at the school's administrative meeting on January 25 and February 1, respectively. STUST's year-end lottery contest this year was hosted by the President of STUST Deng-Maw Lu and was held before all the school supervisors. The atmosphere was very warm, and the winners were also blessed by everyone. There were two lottery contests held this time, one of which was sponsored by the school and the other by manufacturers. In addition, Tainan STUST Prosperity Association also provided an extra NT$ 5,000 bonus in the grand event.

In the year-end lottery contest, Secretary-in-Chief Zhi-Liang Zhu, Academic Vice President Ming-Tsai Lai and Administrative Vice President Hong-De Chang successively took the stage to draw out various prizes. President Deng-Maw Lu announced the winners of special awards, including Chairman Prize and President Prize for the contest. The prizes for the year-end lottery contest were very rich, including a 65-inch LCD TV, Google Pixel mobile phones, LG sweeping robots, sets of Nintendo SWITCH, and many other bonuses provided by the Tainan STUST Prosperity Association—a total of 77 prizes. Prizes offered by manufacturers were given away in another contest at the executive meeting on February 1. There were nearly 200 prizes in the two contests, making the staff very excited.

As STUST President Deng-Maw Lu said, in order to comply with the government's pandemic prevention regulations, the year-end event was changed from the previous gathering of all school administrators to parties separately held by each unit. The lottery contests were still held in accordance with the previous rules, hoping to reward all the colleagues for their hard work over the previous year. He hoped that everyone could continue to work hard for STUST in the new year and face the challenges in the future. The university will continue to run the school’s student-centered concept and innovate teaching resources and campus environment. With such solid cultural foundation, STUST will be stronger and able to make great achievements.
