The STUST USR project team of "Local Creation and Dissemination of Cultural Heritage—Fucheng v.s. Yuejin," granted by the Ministry of Education, has assumed its important responsibility of social education since the July of 2018, when it was established on the second floor of Wutiaogang Cultural Hall at Shennong Street. In response to the preservation and development of the business culture of Wutiaogang and Shennong Street, the project team held Wujogang Craftsmen Storytelling, Shennong Street Residents’ Storytelling, and Shennong Street Cooking and Tea-Drinking Courses on a monthly basis, in order to practice the university’s social responsibility.

As the outbreak of COVID-19 in May this year was rapidly spread, community college classes were forced to suspend. All the courses at the "Wutiaogang Cultural Center" stopped for two months. The USR project team at Shennong Street started to plan on how to suspend the classes without stopping school at the beginning of the pandemic in early July. It changed the original model of requiring students to come to the hall for class; instead, students were asked to learn at home through live online lectures. For the lectures and hand-making activities, the presenters and lecturers, fully prepared with materials, should have come to the hall to share their ideas with the audience. They could meet the students online and interact with the people at close range, the speakers could communicate with the listener through their presentation. Therefore, the Shennong Street team did not invite lecturers to speak in the hall, but to the workplace of Wujogang craftsmen and residents of Shennong Street. Online lectures were used for sharing, and three series of live courses had been developed: "Zero Distance Talk about Fucheng," "Zero Distance Talk about Shennong," and "Zero Distance with Art in Fucheng."

They are also adjusted to the needs of different seasons, so that every time the diners come here, they can have a taste of different seasonal practices. In addition to insisting on making delicious dishes, Bo Yong also likes to collect old artifacts in Taiwan, such as bicycles used to sell all kinds of beverages and food, signs of shops selling soda in the 50s and 60s, old wine bottles and glasses, dolls, etc.—all these are collected on the second floor of its North Building, where visitors can freely go upstairs to watch.
