The "H❤U Entrepreneur Team" of the Department of International Business of STUST won the special gold award of the 2021 Hongguo Cup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The team was formed by five students—Tsun-Yu Chen, Shin-Ning Chang, Shu-Kai Tsai, Shao-Wei Wang, and Yi-Ting Chen—and jointly directed by Prof. Wei-Zhen Yang of the Department of International Business and Prof. Jia-Jun Lin of the Department of Visual Communication Design. They stood out from 138 teams in the preliminary round, got shortlisted among the final 10, and finally outdistanced many strong participating teams and won the highest honor of special gold award.

The "H❤U Entrepreneurship Team," organized by STUST, drew from an environmentally friendly multifunctional kitchen product designed under the guidance of Prof. Jia-Jun Lin from the Department of Visual Communication Design. As the main product at the beginning of the business, the design was divided into short, medium, and long-term business ideas, which presents 5 years of marketing strategy and financial planning—from developing products, finding manufacturers, promoting sales to selling products. It responds to environmental protection, encompasses a complete set of design and commercialization of green production and marketing processes, and completes commercial modules with practical strength. Coupled with excellent on-site briefing performance and team spirit, the
STUST team showed the great performance of an award-winning team, unanimously favored by all the judges and given great compliment.

Judge Jin-Hua Huang, founder of TAGather Goods, said that the presentation of the STUST winning team was like a chorus, with a clear rhythm, uninterrupted collaboration, and a high degree of completion. The financial statements of the winning team were very clear and complete.

Chair Wei-Zhen Yang of the Department International Business, STUST, said that STUST is committed to promoting innovative and creative activities. In addition to the practical ability of students’ creativity and innovation, STUST also guides students to seek ideal entrepreneurial models and cultivate students’ concepts and abilities to work on future entrepreneurship. The winning team of the STUST has been through hard work and training before they won the award. Winning such a National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, as well as the highest honor and special gold award, has been greatly expected. In the future, the student team will further enhance their practical experience and fully apply the knowledge they learn at STUST.
