The Tainan City Government regards drug prevention and control as the top priority in the maintenance of public security. It has invested a lot of resources and efforts to actively promote drug prevention and control in order to reduce the harm of drugs. Recently, STUST held the Tainan Anti-drug Cultivation Project—Class Introduction Video Project. The meeting was located on the 6th floor of Yonghua Municipal Center, Tainan City. The False Information Research Center affiliated to the College of Business Administration of STUST cooperated with Tainan City Government, Tainan Bar Association, National Cheng Kung University and Rotary International 3470 Tainan Phoenix Rotary Club, producing the city government's anti-drug video project for elementary schools, which has received support from the Tainan Branch of Taiwan High Prosecutor's Office.

The production mode of this anti-drug promotional video referred to the epidemic prevention advertisement of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Through 1-2 minute short videos and picture cards, with explanations and propaganda by experts, scholars, teachers, police officers, and Mayor Wei-Zhe Huang, students can establish a strong understanding of illegal drugs, acquire correct knowledge of addictive drugs, and stay away from the harm of drugs.

Prof. Rui-Shing Chang, Dean of the College of Business Administration of STUST, said that he was fortunate to participate in the city government’s anti-virus video project for elementary schools, strengthen the local connection and cooperation between the university and the regional urban and rural development, and join this project to connect the resources of the public and private sectors in the region. Moreover, he could will be able to establish a partnership between the public and private sectors with the strength of cross-disciplinary, cross-domain, cross-team, and cross-school connection, and propose innovative solutions to previous antivirus programs.

Dean Rui-Shing Chang also pointed out that nowadays universities need not only to cultivate talents, but also to fulfill their social responsibilities. STUST has assigned fulfilling university social responsibilities as one of the five major plans for the development of its university affairs, has linked and cooperated with local governments and organizations to jointly solve local issues, and has been committed to innovation and sustainable development through the discussion and understanding of social issues. It also pays more attention to the connection and interaction between talent cultivation and localities, hoping to continue its cooperation with the municipal government and various units in the future and continue to exert the positive social influence that the university should bear.
