In this event, 11 host families led a total of 30 international students from 10 countries, including India, Vietnam, Swaziland, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Turkey to step on the street together. The host families and the international students of STUST travelled through the alleys full of history, visiting buildings and particular stores with historical and cultural significance, such as the first Mazu Temple in Taiwan, the Kaiji Tianhou Ancestor Temple, the Longshing Yazian Store, Shinshieyi Paper Shop, and Old Lai Fa Bakery, to explore the different historical aspects of Tainan City.

Walking into Rice Street, one could see the red spring couplets and red lanterns all over the street. The strong atmosphere of Spring Festival was accompanied by the sound of beating. It turned out that Longshing Asia Lead Shop was making Asia lead products, which are purely handmade rather than machine-made. This culture is full of freshness and curiosity for international students! Through this activity, host families and international students of STUST had the opportunity to learn more about the culture of the ancient people's livelihood in Tainan.

An Indian student from STUST said that international students learned to know the Tainan they didn’t know as they strolled in the quaint alleys, explored old houses in Tainan with their host families, and listened to ancient rumors. As the activity drew close to an end, they moved to the century-old bakery Jiulaifa Bakery. In addition to learning about the history of pastries, they also experienced the making process of the gods' favorite dim sum—phoenix slice cake. Even though the students have different religious beliefs, they still focused on and held respectful attitudes as they went through the production. Some students expressed their wish to dedicate the phoenix cake to the gods and pray for the blessings of the gods in Taiwan during their studies in Taiwan.
