The National Student Music Competition has been suspended for two years, due to the impact of the pandemic. During this period, the members of the STUST Wind Music Club underwent great changes in the personnel structure following the graduation of the senior students of the club. Yet, the members of the club still strived for perfection and honed their skills. They contemplated and adjusted their mentality under the interaction and communication of new and old members. They continued to pass on the fine traditions and finally succeeded in winning the outstanding results that had been greatly expected for many years.

The members of the STUST Wind Music Club said that although there were some mistakes during the performance, the conductor was still calm, turning the mistakes into highlights, which fully demonstrated the cooperation and mutual trust of the members. It was a surprising performance; the members of the team were more connected and more confident in the team. They brought the best results to themselves, who had worked so hard over the past.

Zi-Yu Lin, Leader of the STUST Wind Music Club, said that the most fatal, regretful mistake in the competition was that the tuning time was limited to only ten minutes before the performance, and more than half an hour had passed before the time they went to play on stage. There was still a distance from the ideal state, but the members showed better performance than that in the previous practice. They played a shocking march together, performed a soulful starry story, and made up for the small mistakes in the middle with their dazzling performance.

The STUST Wind Music Club has continued to grow under the guidance of their instructor, Mr. Yao-De Huang. In addition to congratulating the students, Mr. Huang also said that there is a lot of room for improvement. As the competition was a good experience for everyone, he hoped that the student members could reflect upon their own insufficiency before they have a better performance on the next stage.

Deng-Maw Lu, President of STUST, said that STUST attaches great importance to students' performance outside their professional courses. In recent years, they have achieved good results in sports and clubs. Clubs can help students enhance their ability to organize, communicate, coordinate, and solve problems. It is very important to their future development after graduation, so STUST strongly encourages students to participate in club activities during their studies to improve their essential academic ability and lay the foundation for future development.
