The College of Digital Design, STUST, won many awards in the 12th Vision Get Wild Awards, including 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze, and 2 Excellent Work Awards, with its excellent performances.

[Students from the creative team of the Department of Multimedia and Entertainment Science, STUST—Jia-yu Wu, Rong-shuan Chang, Ying-shiu Chen, Yu--shun Chang, Yu-chian Lin and Rui-yuan Shu—won the Gold Award of Game Action Group and the Silver Award of PC Game Group with their work "Perfumer" in the 2022 Vision Get Wild Awards.]

This competition is a creative design festival created by the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. It is executed and managed by the Taiwan Industry-University Policy Promotion Association. It attracts thousands of works to participate in the competition every year. The three-day exhibition period exceeded 100,000 visitors, and international masters were also invited to be key speakers, such as Pixar, Blizzard Entertainment. It is the index digital and design student creative competition exhibition in Taiwan, covering a variety of fields including audio-visual, animation, games, graphic (communication design/product design), cross-disciplinary, AR /VR, mobile applications and other fields, through competitions, exhibitions, film festivals, international forums, exchange gatherings and other forms, creating an interactive cooperation and exchange platform between industry and academia.

[Students from the creative team of the Department of Multimedia and Entertainment Science, STUST—Wei-shun Huang, Yan-long Chen, Guan-meng Chen, Hao-cheng Tsai, Yue-zhong Chen, and Yu-wen Chen—won the Bronze Award of PC Game Group with their work "Thousand Enlightening Disasters" in the 2022 Vision Get Wild Awards.]

The award-winning work "Perfumer" of the Department of Multimedia and Computer Entertainment Science, STUST, was produced by the creative team of students Jia-yu Wu, Rong-shuan Chang, Ying-shiu Chen, Yu--shun Chang, Yu-chian Lin and Rui-yuan Shu, led by Dean Zhi-cheng Sun and Prof. Cheng-shun Shie. The work, which won the Gold Award of Game Action Group and the Silver Award of PC Game Group, is a 3D mechanism puzzle game with the theme of "visual fragrance" and "organization secret box." Another award-winning work of the department, "Thousand Enlightening Disasters," was directed by Prof. Hua-cheng Chang and Prof. Cheng-Shun Shie and created by the team of Wei-shun Huang, Yan-long Chen, Guan-meng Chen, Hao-cheng Tsai, Yue-zhong Chen, and Yu-wen Chen. It won the Bronze Award of PC Game Group, with its style focused on a combination of realism, orientalism, and future technology, supported by exciting and tense battles

[Students from the creative team of the Department of Multimedia and Entertainment Science, STUST—Zheng-hong Cheng, Jia-le Shih, Pin-lin Dai, Shing-tong Chen, Rou-shin Guo, and Chun-ling Tsai—won the Excellent Work Award of PC Game Group with their work "Numar" in the 2022 Vision Get Wild Awards.]

The Excellent Work Award of the Game PC Group was also won by the department. Under the leadership of advisors Prof. Yong-ming Huang and Si-yan Wu, the creative team of Zheng-hong Cheng, Jia-le Shih, Pin-lin Dai, Shing-tong Chen, Rou-shin Guo, and Chun-ling Tsai. The work "Numar" is a 2D horizontal platform jumping game, in which players can operate the main characters to advance the plot and explore the spiritual world.

[Students from the creative team of the Department of Multimedia and Entertainment Science, STUST—Ying-chun Tseng, Jia-fen Yang, Ji-jia Lu, Ming-zhang Su, Ai-lin Jianglin, and Cheng-shuan Li—won the Excellent Work Award of Digital Multimedia and Game Design Group with their work " Nymph" in the 2022 Vision Get Wild Awards.]

The work that won the Excellent Work Award of Digital Multimedia and Game Design Category was "Nymph", which is a 2D plot interactive puzzle game. The game was designed around the concept of "three-dimensional paper carving book." With layer upon layer to express the depth and hierarchy of space, this work was also created by the Department of Multimedia and Computer Entertainment Science of the college. It is a great achievement created by the creative team of students Ying-chun Tseng, Jia-fen Yang, Ji-jia Lu, Ming-zhang Su, Ai-lin Jianglin, and Cheng-shuan Li under the guidance of Prof. Yong-ming Huang and Si-ying Wu.

[Students from the creative team of the Department of Visual Communication Design, STUST—Wei-zhu Hong, Li-juan Shi, Wei-chen Xu, Yi-an Chen, Yu-shuan Wu, Pei-yu Lin, Ya-wen Tsai—won the Bronze Award of Animation Experiment and Mixed Media Animation Group with their work "Ships" in the 2022 Vision Get Wild Awards.]

The work that won the Bronze Award of the Animation Experiment and Mixed Media Animation Group was directed by Prof. Chian-fan Liu from the Department of Visual Communication Design, STUST. The creative team of Wei-zhu Hong, Li-juan Shi, Wei-chen Xu, Yi-an Chen, Yu-shuan Wu, Pei-yu Lin, Ya-wen Tsai won this honor. The work is mainly presented in the form of stop-motion animation, and the scenes, characters, and objects required in the work are created by the team from scratch, including the King Ship.

Deng-maw Lu, president of STUST, said that technical and vocational education emphasizes learning by doing, and through competitions, students can hone their practical ability. In the four major evaluations of universities, STUST won two first places, which shows that the education method emphasizing practice has achieved initial results. He hoped that students who are interested in practice will join us at STUST to create brilliant performances and achievements.
