Students from the Department of Visual Communication Design, STUST, won first place in the product design group with their "Special Search Team for Stealing the Moon—Grass Mountain Moon World Education Activity Project." The work was designed in the form of American comic books combined with digital interactive experience, allowing players to understand geology, ecology and human history, achieving the benefits of tourism promotion. Another work that won first place in the chemical materials group is "Synthetic Fluorescent Gold Quantum Dot Modification—Ultra-sensitive Detection of Mercury Ins in Ambient Water Using a Paper Chip Combined with A Smartphone Colorimetric Software.” Prof. Cheng-he Chen from Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering, who was the supervisor of the project, said that the student team combined fluorescent gold quantum dot materials with smartphones in order to instantly and quickly monitor the mercury pollution in water quality. It is very suitable for people to operate by themselves, and can be further applied in biomedical testing in the future. Another work of STUST, which won first place in the animation interactive multimedia group, was "MIRAGE-AI Machine Learning Technology Reflecting Instant Interactive Feedback on the Concert Streaming Entertainment Platform,” directed by Prof. Jia-hui Feng from the Department of Creative Product Design. Prof. Feng said that this work enriches the interaction and fun of online viewing, and gives fans instant feedback through an innovative AI interactive mode. At the same time, it provides more channels for multinational fans to support idols and shortens the distance between idols and fans.

Another entry from the Department of Creative Product Design, STUST, "SpineUp Scoliosis Back Frame and Physiotherapy Design Research," won second place in the industrial design group. Instructor Prof. Kun Ouyang said that “SpineUp” is a product for patients with mild to moderate the waist frame designed by teenagers with C-shaped side bends. This work is equipped with a modular mechanism to fine-tune the force position of the back frame mechanism to respond to the rapid changes in the shape of teenagers in the growing period. At the same time, it can be combined with gamified interactive home physics in order to improve the willingness of young people to take treatment. Therapists can use the “SpineUp App” to understand the wearing and training status of young people's backpacks, which can be used as a good basis for diagnosis. Another work that won third place in the publishing and language group, " Zhuluo Tree Frog -Environmental Education Design Project," was produced by a team of students from the Department of Visual Communication Design and directed by Prof. Yu-ching Shiao from the Department of Visual Communication Design. It won the third place in the publication and language group with the unique "Zhuluo Tree Frog" in Taiwan as the theme of environmental education design. Another work from the from the Department of Mechanical Engineering—"Smart Crane Lift Monitoring System for Chemical Wafer Cassette Handling" won the excellent work of the machinery and power machinery group. This work, instructed by Prof. Sheng-he Wang from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was mainly designed to solve the problem that automation equipment of the semiconductor industry—crane handling system—is constantly threatened by handling shaking and shaking in the working process. This work can ameliorate at least millions of huge losses and safety concerns.
