In response to the approaching graduation season, to help graduating students enter the workplace, the 2022 "Life in Tainan—Job Hunting in Tainan" Part 2 Employment Fair, co-sponsored by the Labor Department of Tainan City Government and STUST, was held on Nov. 11. Mayor Wei-zhe Huang and other honorable guests came to cheer the job seekers, including Director Shin-ji Wang of the Labor Department, President Deng-maw Lu of STUST, Vice President Chih-liang Chu, Director Bang-dong Liu of the Yunnan-Jianan Branch of the Labor Development Department (the Ministry of Labor), Director Guo-neng Wang of Tainan Veterans Service Office, Chairman Jiang-fu Huang of Tainan Confederation of Vocational Unions, Chairman Shui-mu Chen of Tainan Confederation of Labor Unions, Chairman Yu-li Guo of the Tainan Association of Small and Medium Enterprise Honorary Instructors, and Chairman Chi-nan Liang of the Tainan Labor Volunteer Service Association.

Although the employment fair was much affected by the pandemic, it still attracted a number of job seekers. The organizer invited 105 companies from the service industry, communication industry, and technology industry to offer 8,586 job opportunities. Among them were many well-known companies, including Taiwan International Avionics, TSMC, Innolux, Koyo Applied Materials, Universal Access, Uni-President Enterprise, Quanlian Industrial. There are 5,502 job vacancies with a monthly salary of more than 30,000 NTD, and the image of "GOOD JOB" was shown this time. Regarding the diverse job vacancies at the job, many value-added services were provided, such as "Career Consultation," "Resume Health Check," "Mock Interview," "Beauty Hairdressing," "Resume Draw Tablet," etc., with the hope to enable job seekers to successfully find their ideal jobs. In addition, the employment fair also offered a number of thoughtful job-seeking services, such as resume health check, interview simulation, CPAS career consultation, free hairdressing, and job-seeking health care. The artistic performance of the students of the Department the Pop Music Industry not only allowed students to have a stage for performances, but also showed the great diversity of the employment fair.

Deng-maw Lu, President of STUST, said that STUST has been running with everyone’s heart and soul over half a century. Under the leadership of the excellent teachers in the school, various school performances have been affirmed and praised by the Ministry of Education and all walks of life, and the employment status of graduates has been also very good. In particular, semiconductor talents are even more sought-after. This year, STUST was also awarded the honor of "Most Favorite College Students by Enterprises" by Global Vision Magazine, staying ahead of many national science and technology universities with its dazzling performance. President Lu said that the school has responsibility for graduate students. He thanked the Labor Department of Taiwan City Government for organizing this employment fair during the graduation season every year and providing graduate employment services in a timely manner. He hoped that people who were looking for jobs today could find a good job and that manufacturers could find good and talented employees.
