2022 Guang-wen Shen Cultural and Creative Home Decoration Design Competition Featuring Value-added Local Characteristics of Shanhua District, Tainan City announced its results. The participating team of the Department of Marketing and Logistics Management, STUST, won the Silver Award and Bronze Award with its outstanding performance. This competition invited students from colleges and universities across the country to participate in the competition. It is hoped that through the competition, Mr. Guang-wen Shen's idea of "Confucian scholar and literati" will be combined with the characteristics of Shanhua districts to produce modern trendy and creative home decoration designs, so that college students can participate in the competition, give full play to the spirit of innovative and creative thinking, and present their projects in a practical way.

The student team that won the silver award in The Department of Marketing and Logistics Management, STUST, was composed of students Ching-sui Chen, Yu-jun Lin, Yu-chen Tsu and Ya-chi Liu, directed by their instructor Prof. Yi-chiang Wang. The work "Welcome—Key Box," made of wooden double doors, is linked with the name of the work, simulating the color and appearance of Guang-wen Shen's monument. The shape of the hook inside the key box is based on the head of beer, chrysanthemum, cow, and the head of Guang-wen Shen; three different expressions of Guang-wen Shen's head are designed to surprise consumers. Consumers can quickly understand the relevant characteristics of Shanhua area and Guang-wen Shen, and find cooperative stores, use FB, IG and other online community platforms to promote, increase exposure. This allows consumers to better understand the meaning of this product, especially when it cooperates with well-known YouTubers for endorsement and improve visibility, so that consumers can achieve the goal of purchasing from cognition and recognition.

The work “Ding Ji,” was produced by student Ching-lin Cheng and directed by Prof. Ji-shiang Lin from the Department of Marketing and Logistics Management, STUST. The work, which won the bronze award, was inspired by the pen holder in Shen Guang's study room of "Confucius in Taiwan". The pen holder was designed with the idea that the holder itself should be regarded as the main body and books as a supplement. This pen holder functions not only as a storage function, but also as a mobile phone holder and a note paper. The words on the pen holder, "Think and follow our predecessor and philosopher—Guang-wen Shen," are taken from the lyrics of the School Song of National Tainan First Senior High School, and the intention is to encourage students to emulate the Taiwanese sage Guang-wen Shen. Guang-wen Shen is the father of Taiwanese literature. Even the establishment of a poetry club began with Mr. Guang-wen Shen, who worked hard to promote literary creation during his lifetime. This pen holder is designed with the meaning of blessing, so that consumers can be blessed by Mr. Guang-wen Shen, and their thoughts are flowing. The pen holder keeps pace with the times and is made of environmentally friendly materials, so that students can cultivate the concept of environmental protection from their school days. It is a multi-functional texture pen holder that integrates environmental protection awareness.
