The Department of Pop Music Industry of STUST is the first department in Taiwan. The department has two certification centers: Steinberg Cubase International Recording and Arrangement Certification Center, and Avid Pro Tools International Recording Certification and Teaching Center. Students can obtain dual international certificates at the same time, and get started in the pop music production industry right after they graduate. At the beginning of its establishment, the Department of Pop Music Industry, STUST, built a digital music computer classroom (W1002), and purchased all kinds of the latest recording software and hardware equipment and facilities for students to use in music production, including the latest 57 sets of Cubase Pro software, NI software tones, UA Apollo Twin Duo recording interface, Boss audio, and M-Audio keyboard, etc.

The center offers a series of German international official Cubase digital music courses, taught by Deng-chang Tsao, who is certified by the German International Original Factory and has six Golden Melody awards for his technical affirmation. The Department of Pop Music Industry, STUST, will open the Cubase Starter Course after the semester starts in mid-September. The 36-hour content includes basic settings and functions, digital music arrangement and production, introduction to recording, sound design and implementation, mixing engineering and mastering Post-production output. Starting from the basics, people who have no experience in digital music software can get started immediately without the basics, pass the creation and certification examinations, and obtain the license immediately, and help the talents who have completed their studies immediately go online to work.

Deng-maw Lu, President of STUST, said that the Department of Pop Music Industry, STUST, is the first department in the country to cultivate talents in the pop music industry. In addition to guiding students in performing arts management, music creation and performance, recording engineering, lighting, stage and sound courses, the department has integrated local cultural characteristics and integrate with international popular culture. It has also cultivated talents in the fields of recording engineering and music production for many years. The successful establishment of this university has become a dual-certified teaching center, which shows that the university's abundant and excellent teachers, together with its novel and luxurious equipment, have been recognized internationally.
