Recently, many cases of one-page online fraud have been found in online social software. In order to help the public to tell the true information from false one and understand the harm of false information, the False Information Research Center of the College of Business has repeatedly check current events and information circulating on the Internet to find fraud content, presenting complex legal concepts, judicial judgments, and forms of false information in a simple and easy-to-understand way.

【One-page scam advertisements often contain sensational headlines and photos in social media.】
With the advancement of communication technology and the rapid development of social platforms, such as Facebook, LINE, Instagram, and other platforms, accelerating the flow of information and leading to the proliferation of false information on the Internet. A lot of scam artists were taking convenience of designing related web pages to defraud property. The purpose of this research center is to help the public understand the methods of false information and identify information manipulation of people's livelihood and economy.

【Dean Rui-shing Chang of the College of Business Administration, STUST, indicated that most of the products in the one-page advertisement do not match the original products.】
In order to let the public better understand the process of one-page fraud and the quality of goods, the research center has actually verified the content of online fraud, such as Chingshan clothes, Gundam models, Gucci bags, and other products, from purchase, unpacking inspection and return. All the processes were verified. Recently, it was discovered that an unknown Facebook fan page mainly sells the co-branded watches of the well-known brands CITIZEN and Mobile Suit and puts the photos of the watches on the official website of the brands—watches originally priced NT$14,682 are sold with a 90% discount. In order to prevent people from being deceived, the research center directly placed an order to purchase and inspected the goods only to find that the outer packaging of the goods was simple and the real thing was a cheap watch. The design and website pictures are completely different, and there is no original manufacturer's brand. The overall design cannot be connected with the mobile suit brand, and the actual weight is not as heavy as a high-quality watch. The whole thing is a cheap watch without a brand.
Rui-shing Chang, Dean of the College of Business Administration at STUST, said that the United States, Germany, Malaysia, and other countries have active legislative controls on the prevention of false information. At present, many social platforms have been committed to the cooperation of fact-checking groups or adopted technological means such as AI. For detecting fraudulent pages and providing a mechanism for the public to report such fraudulent pages, only relying on AI auditing methods cannot effectively solve the problem of the proliferation of frauds. There is no effective prevention method. After a fraud page is reported and removed from the shelves, it can be re-created immediately. Where one is closed, another will be opened. Before the official social software review mechanism is improved, the only way to prevent and control it is to change consumers' attitudes. STUST would like to remind the public not to believe one-page websites or unknown advertisements. Even if people see beautiful official photos, they need to think about whether the photos are illegal copies. People should pay more attention to unknown products that are praised by many accounts or have no objective comments. People should also be vigilant about the price of goods and try their best to go to reputable platforms and stores in order not to lose any money.
