This year, through the cooperation of industry, government and academia, the "Double Ninth Day in Nostalgia of the Good Old Days: Youth-Elderly Children's Five Passes Garden Party" activity was grandly held. On September 29, Mayor Wei-zhe Huang of Tainan City, , accompanied by Director Rong-zhi Chen of the Department of Social Affairs, delivered their love and respect especially for the elderly on the eve of Double Ninth Day Festival. They went to the Kunsun community in the South District to send love and care to 200 elders and celebrated the Double Ninth Festival together with the youth and the elderly.

As an extension of the "Warm Winter Meal Delivery and Happiness Continuation" plan last year, the activity was co-organized by the Youth-Elderly Co-creation USR team of STUST, the teachers and students of the Department of Senior Welfare and Services, the Department of Social Affairs of Tainan City Government, the Southern District Office, together with Fubon Life's charitable sponsorship, showing love and respect for the elderly and welcoming the Double Ninth Day. In addition to 160 disadvantaged elders living alone and unable to go out, the meal delivery service served a total of 360 elders in the community, so that love could go deeper into every corner of the community. This year, thanks to participation of Fubon Life, the activity showed a very large social influence. Taiwan Senior Care and Education Association, Shingyi Medical Supplies, Kindness Heart Care Co., Ltd., Yicheng Co., Ltd., Haocheng Technology Co., Ltd., and many other local partners and kind-hearted people donated a variety of materials and services, so that the elders in remote villages could enjoy warm materials and nostalgic delicacies.

The activity proceeded as a combination of a meal delivery service and a garden party in nostalgic of the good old days in Childhood. First, Tainan Mayor Wei-zhe Huang led the honorable guests to distribute the Warm Heart Pack 2.0, which contains environmentally friendly lunch boxes, thermos cups, and cereal packets that can be drunk any time on weekdays. The USR team of STUST, participating students of STUST, volunteers, the elderly, and co-sponsors set up booths to offer food and game play. They invited community elders to go out together to visit the nostalgic food booth reminiscent of the happiness of childhood concerning eating, and join the children’s game play together to pass five levels of the game. As the elders walked through the time passage during the activity, they came to enjoy the taste of eating as a child and the fun of being old children. The cycle of love and kindness could make the elders feel the warm greetings and caring feelings of the Youth-Elderly Co-creation USR team. It is hoped that through the tripartite cooperation between industry, government, and academia that the social responsibility of universities and corporations could be implemented, and the happiness, warmth, care and well-being for the elderly will be well conveyed. It also promoted the health and well-being of the elderly in the community, achieving the age-friendliness of "respect for the elderly" and the sustainable development goal of the SDGs—"good health and well-being".
