The award-winning work of STUST is the first to use AI deep learning object detection technology to infer the type of objects in the first-person perspective screen by President Deng-mao Lu, the general host of the project, and Prof. Wan-rong Chang, the host of the project. Then, it controls the AI prosthetic arm and converts the corresponding gesture, assisting the user with the amputated upper limb to complete the arm function with appropriate hand movements. In the future, STUST plans to apply this technology to the high-end smart medical fields, such as smart medical materials and technological aids, both of which are to be brought in line with the industry.
