The 2022 International Symposium on Knowledge Economy and Globalization Management was held by STUST in its Niantzi International Conference Hall recently. Prof. Gabriele Thelen, Director of the Chinese Language Center of Konstanz in Germany, gave a keynote speech in the opening. This year, Dr. Verena Gründler, International Director of the Konstanz University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Dr. Helena Obendiek, Deputy Director of the Chinese Language Center, and Prof. Mayumi Hori of Chuo University, Japan were invited to STUST for guidance. Although Dean Philippe Frouté of the University of Paris XII was unable to come, he published his paper online and participated in the academic exchange of this seminar. Academic elites from various universities at home and abroad actively participated in this event, with a total of about 300 people attending the event.

The symposium adopted the method of open call for papers. After review and evaluation, there were 29 papers invited to the symposium for publication. The two-day agenda was divided into 6 seminar sessions, each of which publishes papers and conducts in-depth discussions on different topics. The topics are the most important ones for research in the current business management field, so it attracted many scholars and graduate students to participate in the discussions.

Deng-mao Lu, President of STUST, pointed out in his opening speech that in view of the importance of internationalization, STUST has also actively improved the degree of internationalization of its campus in recent years. Graduate students and undergraduates go to sister schools in the United States, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, and other European regions to study. At the same time, STUST have also enrolled students from more than 30 different countries, with more than 300 international students studying at the university. STUST currently has nine degree programs for doctoral degree, master degree, and university degree, all taught in English, and actively recruits students from all over the world. Among them, Doctoral Program of Business Management in Business College, Global Master of Business Administration (GMBA), and International Business Programs for College recruit international students and are all taught in English, which shows that STUST is very active in promoting internationalization and that its performance in internationalization has been affirmed by the Ministry of Education and all sectors of society.

Rui-shing Chang, Dean of the College of Business Administration of STUST, said that the College of Business Administration of STUST is one of the few colleges in Taiwan that has been given the AACSB International Business Administration Education Accreditation. Participants in the conference could not only share the academic research in the field of international business administration but also exchange their opinions extensively and meet future cooperative research partners. It was therefore a very meaningful activity to achieve great results. STUST will continue to invest resources in the future to continue to expand and deepen international academic exchanges.
